Trapped

Let's take a journey into the soul. The mind, will and emotions that make up a person. In this moment, what is something you have felt trapped in, or even something that you once felt trapped in? Was it easy to walk away? Was it as simple as someone coming along and saying "stop," that made you give it up? And if there's still a struggle, do you believe that one day you can be free?

Our soul gives us the ability to make free will choices, either to obey Christ and His commandments or to obey our flesh. The reason I want you to contemplate this is because you can begin to answer the question in the depths of you for the women who feel utterly trapped in their situation.

Last Sunday, I looked into the eyes of a woman who so desperately wanted to get out. She told me countless times, I don't want to do this anymore. I want out. I prayed with her and as we held hands I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit in such a dark place. She looked at me and said you're right, I am chosen, I do have worth, I am loved. She confessed that to get through the day she listens to gospel music and prays to the Lord to help her.

My friends, this beautiful soul is trapped in bondage by the spiritual forces at work in the sex industry and physically by those who hold her captive. Yes, I was able to text her and give her some resources, but now I need to take up the mantle of prayer. What is fought in the spirit will manifest into the physical.

So, if you understand the idea of wanting to put something down, only to be back in the same place to experience it again, then you can pray for this wonderful woman. Beseeching the Lord on the behalf of another soul's freedom will storm the gates of hell. Because truly, no one wants to be treated like a commodity, no one wants to be seen as worthless, no desires to be alone. No one!

But let us pray for those who can't find the words to pray for themselves and can't pick up their arms to continue. Let's pray! Whether you pray now, or later, join us in the fight against the spiritual forces at war to keep these women in bondage.

Romans 7:24-25a "Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!"
