MISSION & VISION

Safe Places Miami exists to answer the silent cry for help from adult survivors of sex trafficking, sexual exploitation, prostitution, and those facing addiction or substance-use as a result of their trauma. We provide a safe and supportive environment where women can find safety, hope, and healing on their journey toward becoming whole. By providing a comprehensive continuum of care and resources, women move beyond trauma to achieve independent living, self-sufficiency,and a lifetime of freedom from oppression.

We envision the United States as a place where every woman and child is safe from sex trafficking and exploitation, empowered and free to become everything God created them to be.

Safe Places Miami is rooted in the following values and places Christ at the forefront of all we do:

PROGRAM GOALS

The primary goal of our program is to help women achieve stability and begin to heal.

  • We are Safe Places Miami, an emergency response anti-trafficking organization dedicated to reaching women impacted by sex trafficking, sexual exploitation, and prostitution and creating pathways from exploitation to safety and restoration. Through survivor-centered, trauma-informed care in a faith-filled environment, we meet women where they are, build trusted relationships, and respond with compassion and practical support when they are ready to take their next step toward freedom.

  • We offer survivor-centered care in a faith-filled environment, recognizing every woman's dignity, worth and value. Our goal is to assist women in achieving stability and personal growth. Through supportive services and excellence of care, we give them a chance to heal and rebuild their lives in ways that lead to healthy, independent living.

  • Our work is centered on three strategies: Inform, Involve, and Initiate. We inform by equipping communities with awareness and practical knowledge to effectively recognize and respond to signs; involve by mobilizing trained teams and the body of Christ to step into the need, bringing hope, resources, and relationship directly to vulnerable women; and initiate by activating a coordinated pathway to safety through our Emergency Response Care Team. We provide immediate support and essential resources while connecting survivors to trusted partners for continued recovery, long-term placements, and individualized services.

  • Safe Places Miami strengthens continuity of care through collaboration. We partner with anti-trafficking organizations, law enforcement, churches, and community partners to close critical gaps, coordinate resources, and connect women with the care that best meets their unique needs, providing pathways to lasting freedom.

    Ked and Michelle Frank have been married for 26 years. They have three children - two daughters, Julianna and Bailey, and a son, Nathaniel, who gave them a bonus daughter-in-law, Audrey. Michelle enjoys walking trails, writing at coffee shops, and spending time with her family. Ked enjoys hiking, a good cup of coffee, and time with his beautiful family.
     
    Ked and Michelle have served in full-time ministry for nearly thirty years. They have a heart to see healing and hope unleashed in the lives of those who have experienced immense hopelessness. They love serving at Safe Places for Women. Michelle is also passionate about maximizing the impact of the Kingdom of God through transforming and empowering leaders in their unique roles.

    Mike and Shelly Greenwell have been married for over 40 years and have three beautiful daughters and six grandchildren. They are CO natives and value strong family foundations and a commitment to be the hands and feet of Christ. 

    The Greenwell's want to see every woman find the hope and healing they deserve. They have a heart to build strong community connections and bring others together. They are leaders in their church community and active volunteers for Safe Places for Women.
